Google waited quite a while for the Android 15 operating system update. The update, which should normally be released around August or September, was barely released in mid-October. As always, the update, which comes first for Pixel devices, offers many innovations. Last week, Google announced that it plans to compensate for the delay in Android 15 with Android 16. Here is the Android 16 release date.
Android 16 can be released between April and June
Unlike Android versions, which are usually released in the third or fourth quarter of the year, Android 16 is claimed to be released between April and June 2025. According to new leaks, the exact launch date for Android 16 has been announced.
According to the published report, the new operating system will be introduced on 3 June 2025. On this date, Google will begin releasing the Android Open Source Project and Cloud updates for compatible Pixel devices.
The reason behind Google’s move may be the release of the operating system in the stable version for the Pixel 10 series, which is expected to be introduced in August next year. Although it has not yet been officially announced how early Google will introduce new updates, work in this area seems to have accelerated.
If the Android 16 update is released early, update work by other brands can be prepared quickly and presented to users. If we look at the expected innovations and changes, there may be a big change on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth side. It seems that turning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and off with one touch will come back.
